More About Dobermanor Farms…

Dobermanor Farms started out as a vision to create a peaceful, healthy, and loving environment for our family and fur-family members.  We moved from a small city parcel to a property with a few acres. We have worked tirelessly to transform it into more than just a place to call home. Our property seemed to be overrun with brush and weeds, and would need work to transform it into our vision. As I studied our natural landscape, I discovered that many of the “weeds” were actually very useful plants that offer an extensive range of natural benefits. I learned that our property is a haven for natural herbs and roots that are teeming with phytochemicals. I began to explore the health benefits of plants, herbs, and foods, and realized the power of nature’s pharmacy. These plants are not just flora; they are a gift from nature, filled with medicinal properties.  I did more extensive research to learn how to craft these treasures into everyday products that enhance our well-being and offer a natural alternative to treating ailments, or preventing them altogether. We have dedicated many hours to transplanting several of these herbs into our secured garden we call our “farm-acy”, and have supplemented with additional medicinal plants to create a well rounded garden.

I researched and studied how to cultivate our own food and herbs (both culinary and medicinal), relishing the joy of growing from seed to table, and preserving what we grow for future use, as well as how to craft these treasures into everyday products that enhance our well-being. When I delved into the world of research and development, especially focusing on herbs and their medicinal values and applications, I was amazed by the vast amount of information out there. With every search, I discovered countless conflicting details available on the internet and in books. I realized how vast and complex herbs, their medicinal properties and diverse applications truly are.  For me, a formal education would be the only way to confidently gain reliable and accurate information, as well as support from experts in the field. It's been an exciting journey of learning and growth!

Dobermanor Farms advocates for a holistic approach that aligns with the healing properties found in nature. Our goal is to reduce reliance on chemicals and additives. From growing medicinal herbs to promoting organic farming practices, we continuously seek natural solutions to support overall health and wellness. About Us

My name is Diane and I am the owner of Dobermanor Farms. I have many titles; Wife, Mom, Fur-Mom, and most precious of all, Grandma!

I have a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice: Strategic Intelligence. I also completed the majority of coursework for a Master of Arts in Public Policy. I have several certificates that I have earned over the years and have always enjoyed learning. I am currently finishing my Master Herbalist Course through the Centre of Excellence, and will begin working on an herbal immersion program with the Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine, a 1,200 hour in-depth herbalism certification program.

Meet Our Inspiration

Our Doberman are not just a theme, but a way of life for us. They are noble, loyal, affectionate, and intelligent companions. We have a deep love and admiration for these magnificent animals and take pride in providing a nurturing and loving environment for them.  They are not just pets; they are valued members of our family.

Dillinger ~ Born October 1, 2016, Dillinger is our oldest Doberman. Named after John Dillinger, a depression era gangster. Like John Dillinger, he is a bit of an escape artist. He is goofy, affectionate, and fiercely protective of his family. He also goes by Dora (the explorer) and Mr. D

Dolce ~ Born November 7, 2016. Dolce is our only female. Dolce means “sweetness” in Italian and she is every bit of sweet. She is the Alpha in the pack and is very attached to her humans. Dolce does not know that she is a dog. She also goes by Mamas, Princess, Ma’am, and Miss Girl.

Lucchese ~ Born May 18, 2018. Lucchese is one of ten puppies born to Dolce and Dillinger. Named after the Italian-American crime family, but more akin to the famous boot maker. He is a giant, is noble and affectionate. He also goes by Noble Steed, Chocolate Drop, LuLu, and Doodoo.
